The gravitational center of new openings has clearly pulled west toward Northlake Boulevard, but the places actually taking reservations tonight are still concentrated along Donald Ross Road and at a handful of independent debuts scattered across the city. What Is Actually Open at Avenir Right Now

With the opening of Avenir's Town Center Publix on May 21st, the long-anticipated retail and lifestyle destination is nearing full activation. That opening is the anchor, and it is the one you can visit today. The store sits at the head of a nearly 200,000 square feet mixed-use plan along Northlake Boulevard west of Florida's Turnpike.

The rest of Phase 1 is best understood as a lineup rather than a launch. Phase 1 of Avenir Town Center introduces a vibrant mix of tenants that bring together everyday essentials, dining, wellness, and specialty experiences in one convenient, walkable destination, including Publix, Publix Liquor, Walgreens, Seppe Pizza Bar, Carmela Toast and Coffee Bar, Field of Greens, Taki Kappo Omakase, Smoke and Maple Restaurant, H&H Bagels, Sloan's Ice Cream, Venetian Nail Spa, Man Cave Barber Shop, deFabrique Aesthetic Dentistry, Kevin James Salon, Marciano Optique at Avenir, Velocity Community Credit Union, and Go N Postal. Of that list, only the anchor is serving customers today. Everything else is a buildout with a soft opening date that is still moving.

For residents inside the Avenir community, the practical shift is smaller than it sounds. As a golf cart-friendly community, residents will be able to easily access the Town Center directly via golf cart, enhancing the neighborhood's walkable and accessible lifestyle. Groceries by cart is the near-term win. The dinner-by-cart future is still a few months out.

The Dining Lineup Still to Come

The restaurant program at Avenir is the piece worth watching, and it is more ambitious than a typical suburban town center. Here is how the announced dining tenants stack up.

A high-end coffee shop and breakfast spot, Carmela Toast and Coffee Bar will bring its artisanal approach to Avenir Town Center. The coffee shop will provide a stylish and relaxed environment, catering to remote workers, families, and weekend brunch-goers. Taki Kappo is the one to flag for anyone who has been driving to Palm Beach or Miami for omakase; a counter concept at a suburban town center is an unusual signal about how the operator reads the demand curve out here.

Phase 2 will add more retail energy without leaning heavily on restaurants. Phase 2 of Avenir Town Center presents an exceptional leasing opportunity within a rapidly growing, high-traffic destination, now featuring newly signed tenants including TJ Maxx, a national fitness club anchor, and local favorite C.R. Chicks.

Field of Greens Got a Head Start

The Avenir Field of Greens location is not the only one you can visit. The brand quietly doubled its footprint in Palm Beach Gardens this spring, and the two standalone cafés are already open while their Town Center sibling waits its turn.

Field of Greens – Palm Beach Gardens (Opened March 13 and April 3, 2026): The health-focused café brand Field of Greens is expanding with two new locations in Palm Beach Gardens this spring. Known for colorful salads, smoothies, and cold-pressed juices, the concept highlights seasonal ingredients and plant-forward dishes created by chef Thomas Op't Holt. It is the type of place where wellness meets lunch break. 5320 Donald Ross Rd., Palm Beach Gardens; and 12485 Northlake Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens.

That Donald Ross address is worth pausing on, because it is doing double duty this year.

The Speakeasy Hiding in Alton Town Center

Same building, very different mood after 9 p.m. An intimate speakeasy tucked inside Lynora's in Palm Beach Gardens. Refined cocktails, layered sound, and quiet intrigue set the tone, while every detail invites you to linger a little longer. That is Stanza, and it shares the 5320 Donald Ross Road address with Field of Greens and Lynora's proper.

The layout is the point. You can pull into Alton Town Center for a salad at lunch, come back for a plate of pasta at Lynora's, and walk into a low-lit lounge without moving the car. If happy hour turns into a full night out, Stanza is right under your nose. Stanza offers craft cocktails, a lively lounge atmosphere, and DJ sets every night — making it the natural next stop after dinner and drinks at Lynora's.

Two More Names Worth Circling

A pair of openings sit outside both the Avenir and Alton orbits and deserve their own line on the calendar.

• The Birdie Dockside Bar & Grill. Also by David Burke, this upscale sports bar and indoor golf simulator lounge is slated for a formal public opening in March 2026. Chef Burke's second local project after SeaHawk Prime, and the golf simulator angle reads as a direct play for the PGA National crowd.
• Pilar Coffee Bar and Iced Treats. Pilar Coffee Bar and Iced Treats is planned for a late 2026 opening at 7100 Fairway Drive, Unit 23, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418, franchisee Michael Buzzetti told Business Debut. Pilar Coffee Bar and Iced Treats will offer coffee, gelato, food and desserts in a coffee bar setting, Buzzetti told Business Debut. Fairway Drive is a quieter address than either of the town centers, and a gelato-forward coffee bar in that spot is a decent bet for the after-school and weekend-morning crowd.

How to Use All of This Between Now and Fall

The honest read of the summer is this. If you live inside Avenir, your Publix run just got dramatically shorter, but your dining life still routes through Alton, PGA Boulevard, or a drive to Jupiter. If you live closer to Donald Ross or Alton, the two new Field of Greens locations effectively give you a lunch option on either side of the Turnpike, and Stanza turns Lynora's into a two-part evening if you want it to be. If you live near PGA National, Birdie Dockside is the new default for a casual dinner with a screen, and Pilar will slot in as the neighborhood coffee stop once the buildout finishes.

The reason this matters beyond dinner reservations is that the city's daily-life map is being redrawn in slow motion.
